Where to Donate Children's Clothes
From full designer outfits for boys to Spanish baby clothes, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to purchasing gorgeous outfits for our little ones from baby boutiques online to baby stores on the Great British high street we certainly aren’t stuck with a plain old BHS leggings and T-shirts anymore. But, unfortunately, it is a well-known fact that our little ones grow way faster than we would like and at some point, we have to accept that it is time to let go of the ever-growing stash of beautiful childrens clothes we have been accruing. Otherwise, where on earth will we put all the brand spanking new outfits! So, in this post we thought we would take a look at some options for places to donate your preloved children’s clothes with ease.
There are numerous charities with shops based in the Halifax area, one of which is the Yorkshire Children’s Trust. Locally based and set up with the intention of supporting families who have children with serious illnesses, the charity helps alleviate the financial and emotional strain that families are put under. Donations to this charity will go towards assisting with respite, travel and home modifications amongst many other things making the lives of local families and children just that little bit easier in times of distress. You can visit the Yorkshire Children’s Trust website to find out more about how to donate or ask at the new store at YCT House, 70 Commercial St, Halifax HX1 2JE.
Mum 2 Mum Markets are popping up locally quite frequently now and although they aren’t exactly donating they are a great way to make a little bit of extra money and pass on excellent quality, preloved children’s clothes to other local mums at a faction of the price. You can find more about local stores by clicking here.
If you would be interested in donating to a women’s centre to help support women in crisis then take a look at the Women Centre website for details of numerous services in the area that you could contact to make enquiries. The video link below gives just a little bit of information about this cause but please be aware that some of the content may be distressing.
